Finding reliable entertainment news is hard. Tabloids flood the Internet with fake news about celebrities and spread rumors. I generally use CNN.com for my entertainment news, but there are a lot of blogs I like to read as well. I still have no idea why I enjoy reading about celebrities, but it seems that everyone does. It might have to do with envy or that through an actor’s movies or a singer’s songs we feel like we really connect with them on a deeper level than we actually do.

I met Max Weinberg, the drummer for Bruce Springstein and for the Conan O’Brien show, at the University of Utah when he was speaking. He might recognize me again since I drove him to and from the airport, but it is highly unlikely. Still though, whenever Max Weinberg comes on T.V. or does something funny on Conan’s show I enjoy it much more than if it were to be someone else. It seems that we like to read about celebrities so much because, even though we have maybe met them once or not at all, we feel connected to them.
