Presenting Health To Your Business

Sunday, November 30th, 2008

As the holidays approach, finding the right gift for the business professional in your life may be difficult. It will not be difficult because there are not a lot of products, rather there are so many great, useful business products on the market. There have been a few that have caught my attention. A lot of business has to do with impression management, or looking professional in front of clients, which is why I liked some vintage wine glasses I saw. What better way to relax a client than to offer them some wine in a beautiful glass?

Another great gift idea for a business professional is the on-the-go cell phone charger. With a dead phone you could miss lots of business deals, so you should always keep the on-the-go phone charger in your brief case or car just to be prepared. One last business product is the personalized business card case. You can get a stainless steel case for all of your business cards. It looks great and will make a good impression on any other business associates.

A Healthy Economy

As the stock market tumbles, financial workers continue to lose their jobs, and the government is spending billions (soon to be trillions) to keep us out of a recession, there are still a few things that people can be excited about. The first is that gas prices are dropping like rocks because the price of oil is decreasing. This will increase the amount of free cash a normal person has and hopefully increase the amount they spend during the holiday season. Not everyone has been hit by the financial meltdown, but they have been hurt by unreasonable gas prices.

The next thing to get excited about is Oneseason.com. I recently found this website while I was reading the Wall Street Journal. Most of us pay more attention to sports than our jobs, doing research on our favorite teams’ opponents, reading analysts’ predictions, playing fantasy sports, etc. But now, on oneseason.com, you can try to use your sports knowledge to make money by trading players on an open market like stocks. You can buy stock in a player and realize gains. Obviously, just like the real stock market there is no guarantee as to what will happen, but it is a fun idea and I recommend you check it out.
