Hypothyroid Diet: Enjoy How To Kick The Flab With Hypothyroidism

I’ve put this article together to show you which foods to include in your hypothyroid diet to help you drop the flab.

This is from my own experience and so I’m sure what worked for me will work for you too.

As you make changes to your hypothyroid diet, feel how your body is reacting. Try to become more in tune with your body as you change what you eat, and you will be feeling top and looking hot sooner than you could imagine!

My story: I started to put on pounds, feel my hair turn to straw, often feel tired and then later depressed. I was only in my 30′s then – it just didn’t make sense! Surely it’s not just age?

Once I realized I was hypothyroid everything started to make sense and from then on and I’ve never looked back!
Once you know what’s wrong with you, you can start to correct it.

The functioning of your thyroid gland can be effected by the foods you eat so follow this hypothyroid diet advice and you will not only lose weight but you’ll be feeling great too!

Go for foods rich in the amino acid tyrosine. This is because tyrosine combined with Iodine create thyroxin. This is an essential hormone produced by the thyroid gland.

1) Chicken Breast
2) Fish
3) Turkey
4) Low fat milk
5) Yoghurt
6) Avocados
7) Lentils
8) Bananas
9) Pumpkin & Sesame seeds
10) Almonds

Try to eat lots of foods rich in iodine. Foods such as:

1) Sea kelp
2) Seaweed
3) Most Fresh fish
4) Fish oils
5) Iodized salt
6) Condensed milk
7) Trifle
8) Eggs

Adding these foods into my hypothyroid diet was the best solution along side my other treatment decided by my doctor.

I would also recommend adding in lots and lots of fibre into your hypothyroid diet. This helps relieve constipation which is a classic side effect of hypothyroidism. This is also very effective for helping you kick the flab.

Your hypothyroid diet should also include Selenium. This is great as an antioxidant and converting the thyroid hormone your body produces, T4, into its active form, T3. You’ll find Brazil nuts are a great source of this and you can also get it from some lean meats too.

So make sure you take these foods into account if you want to lose weight with hypothyroidism.

You also need to speed up your metabolism. Why? Because a slow thyroid function is why you’re getting fat. How to do this? Well I found the best way is to eat more meals per day BUT keep them small. If you can eat between 6-8 small meals per day you will turn your body into a fat burning machine and not only will the fat disappear but you’ll be feeling better too!
