Music That Will Keep You Fit
Tuesday, July 8th, 2008Recently, I have felt like my music library had become stale. I had not purchased any new CDs for quite some time, and I was getting sick of pretty much everything I had. I hate buying a new CD, only to find out it is a dud and only has one or two good songs. In my frustration, I found a few great tools for finding good music. The first is an online radio called Pandora. There you can enter in a band or song you like and it will create a mix based on characteristics from that song. It is located at Pandora.com. You can also tag songs that you like from the mix it plays. Pandora is completely free and plays each song in its entirety.
The next is the Genius sidebar on iTunes. It will recommend songs by the same artist or similar artists. It will also tell you which songs or albums you are missing from you library by a certain artist. iTunes is a great place to find new music also because you can preview every song easily. It might not be the place I purchase my music, but it definitely gives me plenty of ideas for a new band. iTunes and Pandora are great for finding new music.
