Laser Skin Treatment

Friday, January 22nd, 2010

Skin treatment is important in today’s polluted environment. Skin treatment is a relatively new technology that surgeons have only recently begun using. It is when the surgeons utilize lasers (containing carbon dioxide) to vaporize the skin’s upper layers, consequently allowing a new layer of skin to form. The technique is commonly used to fine tune wrinkles and various face lines, especially around the eyes and the mouth.

What is great about the laser skin treatment is that it can be used at any part of the body, including damaged areas, as the laser beam is extremely precise. This allows some forms of scars and burns to be faint or less noticeable. Also, intense pulsed light (ipl) therapy, which use pulses of the laser light, is used to treat scars such as acne scars and various veins and stains. Also known as a laser peel, the laser skin treatment create similar effects as chemical peels. Basically, the technique will remove the top layer of the skin. Then, as the dermis (the bottom half of your skin) is revealed, a new top layer of skin that is smooth and soft will be recreated. Usually a single laser skin treatment does not take so long. Conducted under anesthetic and sedation, the whole process can take from a few minutes to a couple hours (considering that the whole face is being treated). As is the case, recovery time varies quite drastically. Those who did not have the laser dig very deep might have a short (or possibly even no) downtime. However, those who did undergo deep laser treatments might have a slightly longer recovery time. Regardless of the depth though, aftercare is necessary.

Skin treatment is done through a laser light that is administered on our skin after putting a catalyst gel on the face. There are many different types of laser skin treatments out there which you can choose according to your requirement affordability. A single laser treatment session takes about an hour and you may have to go through 5 to 10 sessions in order to complete the procedure. รข laser skin treatment is not only a great way to remove scars from your face but it also helps to remove unwanted hair from your face and other parts of your body.

The cost of a laser skin treatment depends on the type of laser used in the treatment. There are different types of laser beams available in the market and are priced according to their effectiveness. Though, all the laser beams work almost the same but cheaper treatments may take a longer time to show its effect. Take your pick and get rid of all the unwanted scars, blotches, lines and hair from your skin.

Treat Your Acne With Diet

Monday, January 18th, 2010

If you do not go after the literal cause of a bad complexion - androgenic hormones - you will not be useful acne result. They are sometimes described as “male” hormones, but women as well produce androgen hormones in the ovaries. In my experience, topical acne treatment can help to some degree, if they reduce the symptoms of acne, but you have to go much deeper, if you want to deal effectively with this condition. Let’s take a look at our options.

Care

Is the appropriate face washing the most effective way to prevent acne? That if you ask your mother. In fact, common sense is that people with acne are dirty. Nothing could be further from the truth. You have more chance to make your acne worse by over-washing, than you should get it from dirty. You do not need to wash those more than twice a day. Use mild soap like dove or a mild cleanser like Cetaphil. Use warm water, Pat dry gently with a soft clean towel. You are trying to avoid irritating your skin. Washing your face is certainly not the best way to get rid of pimples.

Antibiotics

Most people I know who took antibiotics for acne have been disappointed with the results. This is because antibiotics kill the bacteria that makes the acne worse, but did not start it in the first place. The worst thing about antibiotics (even worse than the cost and inconvenience) is that we produce a lot of very dangerous antibiotic resistant bacteria that cause real problems in the future. Forget antibiotics. They are not working well, and their excessive price is too high.

Benzoyl peroxide

In fact, benzoyl peroxide creams and ointments (2.5% strength) are quite effective if you have mild acne. This thing kills the bacteria, but also unclogs blocked pores. The problem is that it does not do anything, if you have moderate to severe acne, or you have nodular or cystic acne that deep beneath the surface of the skin. Nevertheless, worth a look if you want to throw a few dollars for a more general recipe for the cream in a local pharmacy. Just remember, do not use anything stronger than 2.5%, and not bother with “curative” washes or scrubs, which are not doing anything.

Accutane

Accutane is very strong and very effective. The problem lies in the “strong” part. Accutane was recently taken off the shelves the U.S. because of serious side effects. Thoughts of suicide, liver damage and birth defects are some of the possible side effects. Accutane should only be used as a treatment of last resort. Do not forget that it may take up to one year for Accutane to get rid of your acne and, unfortunately, your skin will look much worse at this time. This is fine with you? Probably not, if you’re in college or starting a new job and trying to look better.

Complex, Dietary acne

Doctors were skeptical about acne diet programs for one reason: Doctors are always skeptical about everything, until there is scientific evidence to support claims. The breakthrough came early this year, when researchers study the effects of low glycemic index diet is noted that this diet was affected by androgen hormones, and our bodies synthesize the hormone androgen. This is directly linked to acne. In short, the current evidence that you eat, which can have a significant effect on the skin. There are several acne holistic programs available on the Internet. Changing what you eat, these programs work for many people who do not have serious side effects and costs associated with other treatments. They work quickly, too. Most people will see results within one to six weeks. For my money, holistic, dietary treatment is the best way to get rid of pimples.
